BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell remained undefeated in Southern Conference duals, topping Chattanooga, VMI and Presbyterian on Sunday at the Pope Convocation Center / Gore Arena.

Campbell (10-4, 5-0 SoCon) opened the day with an 18-13 victory over Chattanooga (4-9, 2-1 SoCon), its third consecutive win over the Mocs. The Camels also defeated VMI (3-7, 2-3 SoCon) 40-0 for their first shutout win over the season, and closed the day with a 33-3 win over Presbyterian (1-4, 0-3 SoCon).

With the trio of wins, Campbell extended its SoCon dual streak to 21 matches, dating back to the 2018-19 season, the second longest stretch in the conference's history.

Following the Chattanooga dual, CU honored its four seniors, Josh Heil, Chris Kober, Korbin Meink and Alex Rivera.

Against the Mocs, CU rallied from a 13-6 deficit, closing the match with four straight wins to claim the dual, 18-13. After Drew Nicholson's 11-3 major decision for the Mocs at 165 pounds, No. 17 Austin Murphy answered with a 3-1 win, and No. 26 Caleb Hopkins followed with a 6-0 shutout decision to bring the Camels within a point on the team score, 13-12.

At 197 pounds, Levi Hopkins' late third period takedown pushed the redshirt sophomore to a 6-4 decision, and No. 26 Taye Ghadiali sealed the dual with an 8-1 decision for the Camels.

Seven bonus point victories fueled Campbell's 40-0 decision over the Keydets, including a 17-2 (3:47) tech fall for No. 23 Korbin Meink to lead it off. No. 27 Shannon Hanna at 141, Chris Rivera at 149, Riley Augustine at 165, Caleb Hopkins at 184 and Ghadiali at heavyweight also notched major decisions.

Against the Blue Hose, Anthony Molton kickstarted the match with a 17-2 (3:18) tech fall and Hanna followed with a pin (4:43) two bouts later to give CU the early 14-0 lead. Jake Chisolm at 165 pounds, Cameron Andrews at 174 and Luke Davis at heavyweight also entered the lineup and picked up wins.

Zachary Phillips posted PC's lone win of the match, 11-5, at 165 pounds.

VMI also downed PC 28-18 during the day's action.

The Camels will close out their 2021-22 home slate next Sunday, February 6, hosting Davidson before finishing the regular season on February 13 at Appalachian State. The SoCon Championships will return to Boone, N.C. on March 5.
