LEXINGTON, KY. – Campbell fell in straight sets to No. 6 Wisconsin Saturday at Memorial Coliseum in Lexington. The reigning national champions held Campbell to hitting a season-low .048 hitting.
Campbell falls to 2-6 with the loss while Wisconsin improves to 5-1.

"We played fast, passed well and took advantage of our opportunities to score. We defended with passion and our response to adversity was outstanding. if we play this way every time out, we will be hard to beat."
It was all Badgers in the opening frame as they hit .379 while holding Campbell to -.040. The Camels notched just six kills with
Gwen Wolkow responsible for half of those.
Lailah Green put Campbell up 1-0 with an ace to begin the match but that was the only lead Campbell would hold.
Campbell flipped a switch to get out to a blistering start in the second set and getting out to a 12-10 lead. At that point, the Camels were hitting .562 in the frame with
Chloe Cook having five early kills in the second. The Camels couldn't quite maintain that pace and eventually fell 25-20.
Wisconsin stifled the Campbell attack again in the third set by holding Campbell to .038 hitting in the final frame en route to a 25-12 set win to close out the match.
Cook paced the Campbell attack with eight kills with
Melody Paige and Wolkow adding four each.
Claranne Fechter led the defense with nine digs and
Maddie Converse dished out 12 assists.
The Camels face one more road test on Tuesday at NC Central before the home opener set for Friday as part of the Campbell Invitational.
