JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Campbell topped four events, finishing third in the Osprey Invitational over the weekend at the UNF Competition Pool Complex.
The Camels topped a pair of medley events, winning the 200 medley relay with a 1:45.32 mark to kick off the four team invitational, which also featured Florida State and Georgia Southern in addition to CU and the host Ospreys. Campbell also claimed the 200 free relay with a time of 1:36.17.
With a 3:31.06, the Camels finished runner-up in the 400 free relay.
Individually,
Angelica Ragazzoni won the 100 back with a time of 56.78, leading three Camels in the event's top-six. Ragazzoni, a sophomore, added a third place finish in the 200 back (2:07.27).
Laura Lopez also won the 100 IM with a 1:00.86, ahead of teammate Sun Lim, who placed third with a time of 1:0230.
Camels finished second and third in the 100 breast, with Izza Gaskey turning in a 1:06.65 and Bella Butera following at 1:06.70. Butera added a runner-up finish in the 200 breast as well, clocking in at 2:24.24, while Gaskey took fourth with a time of 2:27.38.
Elishka Hajek, meanwhile, finished third in both the 50 free (24.39) and the 100 free (53.17), while
Lauren McLean took third in the 400 IM with a 4:37.36 mark.
Campbell finished third in the four team even with a score of 745.5, just behind UNF's 770.5. Florida State topped the meet with 1,056 points, while Georgia Southern rounded out the team scoring with 666 points.
Campbell stood second with 389.5 points after day one of competition, edging UNF's 381.5, while FSU led with 498 points. Georgia Southern trailed the four team meet with 331 points.
