CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Campbell cross country completed its fourth meet of the regular season at the Royals XC Challenge on Friday evening. 

For the women's 5k, Alitza Betancourt Dennard finished first for Campbell with a time of 19:01.72. Sophie Cowart finished with a time of 19:32.31, and Emily Pierce finished with a time of 19:45.34.

For the men's 8k, Hudson Hayes finished first for Campbell with a time of 27:03.17, with Jake Stanley finishing in 27:21.11 and Andrew Barrett finishing with a time of 27:41.59.

Furman's Madelynne Cadeau completed the 5k course in 17:14.90 to finish first for the women. Milligan's Will Stockley finished first in the 8k course for the men with a time of 24:30.11.

The Campbell women finished 15th overall and the Campbell men finished 20th overall. Milligan University finished first overall in both categories.  

The Camels will return to the XC course for the CAA Championships in Mechanicsville, Va., on Friday, October 27th.
