SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Campbell won for the eighth time in its last nine dual matches Tuesday with a 5-2 decision over Wofford at the Reeves Tennis Center.
The Camels won the doubles point in a tiebreaker at No. 1, then added four singles victories on a day when five of the six singles matches went to three sets.
After pairing with
Leon Petko for the deciding victory in doubles,
Tomas Balazi extended his singles win streak to five matches.
Gustavs Lukstins, who teamed with
Noe Macquart for a victory at the third doubles spot, won in straight sets at No. 6 singles. Three-set wins by
Benjamin Maes (No. 4) and
Lukas Steffen (No. 3) secured the dual victory. Balazi improved to 6-3 at the second position this spring.
