BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell defeated Radford 7-0 Thursday to earn a share of the Big South Conference regular season championship.
 
The Camels (13-6, 4-1), Gardner-Webb and Presbyterian all finished with one loss in league play.  By virtue of tie-breaking procedures, Gardner-Webb will be the top seed in next week's Big South Championship, while Campbell will be second and Presbyterian third.  Defending league champ Radford (9-9, 2-3) claimed the final spot in the four-team event.
 
In a rematch of last year's Big South final, the Camels won the second and third doubles matches to claim the point.  
 
Noe Macquart and Robin Angles won in straight sets at five and six singles, respectively, before Lukas Steffen provided the decisive point in the dual score with a three-set triumph at No. 3.
 
Tomas Balazi, Benjamin Maes and Damien Nezar also added singles victory.  Thursday's match was the final home appearance for Campbell seniors Angles, Lukstins and Leon Petko.
 
Steffen completed an unbeaten league regular season record (5-0), while Lukstins and Macquart improved to 5-0 overall as a doubles team.  Nezar and Maes ran their win streak to six doubles matches and improved to 13-5 in duals.
 
Campbell concludes its regular season Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. first serve at Charlotte.
