BUIES CREEK, N.C – Featuring nine regular season contests, including four home dates, Campbell has released its 2023-24 swimming schedule.
"With this being our inaugural season in the CAA there are a lot of emotions," said CU head coach Zak Bagby. "We are excited to compete alongside a talented group of programs at the end of February, and our upper classmen are really enthusiastic about elevating the team's level of performance in training and in preparation."
The Camels will begin the season September 29-30 in Jacksonville, Fla. at the Osprey Invitational, hosted by North Florida. From there, the team will host the first of its four home competitions on October 6, welcoming UNC Asheville.
The matchup with the Bulldogs will open a three meet homestand for the Camels, who will take on Old Dominion and Gardner-Webb on October 28 in its Breast Cancer Awareness meet. Campbell will also host East Carolina on November 3.
After a trip to the Liberty Invitational on November 17-18, Campbell will take an eight week break from competition, with the Flames will making their way to Buies Creek for the Camels' Senior Celebration on January 13.
Campbell closes out its regular season with another trip to Lynchburg, Va. on January 26-27, followed by the Cavalier Invitational, set for February 9-11, hosted by Virginia.
The CAA Championships are scheduled for February 27 through March 2 in Hampton, Va.
"Our journey through the regular season has a lot of familiar opponents, and with the degree of hard work and fun that the team is having in their training, we are all looking forward to the results," added Bagby. "Featured in our schedule are the Breast Cancer Awareness meet, the TYR' 85 Invite, and Senior Celebration."
The Camels return 24 letterwinners from the 2022-23 season, welcoming four newcomers to the mix.
