LYNCHBURG, VA. – Liberty topped 12 events over two days, defeating visiting Campbell 190-117 at the Liberty Natatorium.
The Flames moved to 5-1 in dual competition on the season, while Campbell dipped to 2-4 overall.
Meredith Ashburn led the Camels, winning a pair of events on Friday, including the 50 free with a time of 23.50, then finishing first in the 100 free with a time of 52.80. The senior also finished second in the 100 fly, clocking in at 58.64, while teammate
Brooklynn Kaster took third with a time of 59.00.
Elishka Hajek also finished third in the 50 free with a time of 24.56.
Angelica Ragazzoni and
Maialen Sudupe added individual wins for the Camels on Saturday, with Ragazzoni taking the 200 back (2:05.08), and Sudupe topping the 200 IM (2:11.90).
Campbell also finished first in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:36.18, while taking runner-up in the 200 medley relay (1:46.21).
Next up, the Camels will head to the CAA Championships, set for February 27-March 2 in Hampton, Va.
