LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Campbell Fighting Camels continued their dominant week, winning eight of 10 matches and defeated Bellarmine, 36-7, Sunday afternoon at Knights Hall.
 
The Camels are now 11-3 (5-0 SoCon), while the Knights sit at 13-4 (3-3).  
 
The match started the same way it did on Friday against The Citadel, with a pin and a tech fall. Anthony Molton pinned Damion Ryan in 4:44, and Domenic Zaccone followed his teammate with a 4:00 tech fall (24-8) over Trayce Eckman.
 
Wynton Denkins earned the 12-6 decision victory over AJ Rallo at 141 pounds. Justin Rivera and Chris Earnest followed him with decisions of their own. Rivera secured a 4-2 win over Zac Cowan, while Earnest defeated Gray Ortis, 4-0.
 
Bellarmine would win the next two bouts at 165 and 174 pounds, but the Camels would bounce back to win the final three by bonus-point margins.
 
Caleb Hopkins secured the second pin for the Camels at the end of his match against Sam Schroeder. Levi Hopkins scored a tech fall over Andrew Liber to continue his strong showing in conference matches.
 
At heavyweight, Taye Ghadiali closed out the match with a tech fall victory of his own, securing the points in 4:12 against William Muckler.
 
UP NEXT
The Camels head back home for Senior Day when they face off against Chattanooga on Saturday. The match is set to start at 2:00 p.m. at Gore Arena.

On what improvements he made to get the win:
"Honestly, I just kept wrestling and listening to the coaches. In the room, we've been working on me getting the legs, getting off bottom and doing things that need to be done in the match. Also, being on the offense instead of the defense. If I'm offensive, there's no way that I'm getting scored on. I just need to believe that in myself. When I'm listening to coaches and really focused and locked in on the match, we see the different outcome."
On the aspect of his wrestling that has improved the most this year:
"100% my hand-fighting. It might not show up in the match, but when we're in the room drilling and I'm working with the coaches, it's my hand fighting. I think, when you come to college, you have to know how to hand fight. You're not going to be able to get your set ups. I'm still growing, just got to learn it."

On his performance against Bellarmine:
"I'd say I had a pretty good day. Obviously, there's always more things to get done, more points to be scored, more takedowns to get. But overall, it was a good day. Bellarmine is a tough team. They come out to scrap; they're not going to just roll over. You need to come out ready to score points."
On the key to finishing the season strong:
"Definitely your mindset and mentality going in to matches. We need to keep the training hard and intense throughout the entire season. We need to make sure we are in the right head space."
