ELON, N.C. – Elon ended Campbell's five match winning streak, defeating the visiting Camels 6-1 on Saturday at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

Elon (2-3) picked up its second straight win, while CU (5-2) suffered its first defeat since opening the season at No. 13 North Carolina on January 18.

Leading off, the Phoenix duo of Daniel Martin and Dylan Heap edged out CU's Damien Nezar and Benjamin Maes, 7-5, to take a tightly contested doubles point. Damien Nezar then started singles play with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Daniel Martin for Campbell, but the Phoenix reeled off five straight, including a pair of three-set battles to earn the team victory.

Campbell will be back in action tomorrow at Davidson.
