GREENVILLE, N.C. – East Carolina defeated visiting Campbell 6-1 on Saturday at the River Birch Tennis Center.
The Pirates moved to 5-3 on the season, while Campbell dropped to 5-4 overall.
After sweeping the first two doubles matchups to claim the opening point, Martina Muzzolon began singles play with a 6-2, 6-2 victory for the Pirates. Ines Bachir clinched the dual for ECU with her 7-6, 6-3 win.
Lily Chitambar earned Campbell's lone singles win, topping Isabella Ortiz in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0.
Next up, Campbell will host its next two contests at home, welcoming St. John's (Feb. 28) and Gardner-Webb (March 2).
