BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell remained unbeaten at the Nisbet Tennis Center, topping St. John's 4-0 Wednesday afternoon.
Campbell improved to 6-4 on the season, and 3-0 at home, while shorthanded St. John's fell to 3-4 overall.
The Camels clinched the doubles point with the duo of
Mialy Ranaivo and
Eeva Ristola edging Mouna Bouzgarrou and Nicoline Sartz-Lunde, 7-6, capturing the tie break by a 7-3 decision. Ranaivo then downed Bouzgarrou 6-0, 6-4 in singles action, followed by Ristola defeating Gumerova 6-2, 6-4 to secure the match after the Red Storm forfeited two points.
Next up, Campbell will remain at home, hosting former Big South Conference rival Gardner-Webb on Saturday, March 2, at 1:00 p.m.
