HAMPTON, VA. – Campbell set a pair of school records to open competition at the 2024 CAA Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday at the Hampton Aquaplex.
The CU team of
Angelica Ragazzoni,
Izza Gaskey,
Meredith Ashburn and
Elishka Hajek turned in a time of 1:41.20 in the 200 medley relay, shaving off their own previous school record, set earlier this season.
Ragazzoni, on the opening leg of the 200 medley relay, added a second school record time, posting a 25.44 in the 50 back. The mark placed CU seventh in the event.
The Camels also placed seventh in the 800 free relay, clocking in at 7:35.79.
Through day one of competition, Campbell stands seventh in the nine team standings with 92 points, just behind Drexel's 100. UNCW leads the team race with 120 points, followed by Delaware with 112, Northeastern with 108, William & Mary with 106 and Towson with 102. Monmouth (88) and Stony Brook (80) round out the women's team standings.
UNCW also leads the men's standings with 114 points.
