Ghadiali, Hopkins, Zaccone on NCAA leaderboard to conclude regular season

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell wrestling finished the regular season with three athletes on the NCAA leaderboards.

Heavyweight Taye Ghadiali is ranked as the 10th most dominant wrestler in the NCAA with an average of 4.25 points per match. The Most Dominant Wrestler standings are calculated by adding the total number of team points awarded through match results and dividing that number by the total number of matches wrestled.

Ghadiali and 197 Levi Hopkins are both in the top-10 in the country in falls. Each of them has scored ten falls this season, with Ghadiali's time at 26:46 (fifth) and Hopkins coming in at 38:45 (eighth).

Ghadiali is also on the tech falls leaderboard with 10 and a time of 39:42, ranking fifth in the country. Domenic Zaccone is eighth on the list with nine tech falls in 34:20.

Ghadiali is the only wrestler in Division I to appear on all three top-10 lists. The full NCAA leader boards can be seen at the attached PDF.

Ghadiali and Hopkins ended the SoCon regular season with an 8-0 record, while Zaccone finished the conference season with a 7-1 mark. All three wrestlers have secured over 20 wins this year.

The Camels ended the year with a 14-3 record and a perfect 8-0 in SoCon play, claiming the conference regular season title. The team will compete in the conference tournament in Boone, N.C., on Saturday, March 9.
