CHARLESTON S.C. – Campbell defeated Samford 5-2 in a neutral site matchup on Thursday at Patriots Point.
Campbell improved to 8-4 on the season, while Samford dipped to 3-8.
Tamsin Hart and
Lily Chitambar clinched the doubles point for the Camels, defeating Margaret Jaraczewski and Lauren Waddles 6-2.
Chitambar notched the first singles point, topping Noelle Mauro 6-3, 6-3, and
Mariana Ossa followed with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Margaret Jaraczewski. Hart secured the match win for the Camels with her 6-3, 6-1 win over Ally Hayduk.
The Camels will remain in Charleston, taking on the College of Charleston on Friday.
