A failed clear from the Camels with 27 seconds left gave the Tribe possession again which led to a foul and a crucial free position attempt for Paige Gilbert with six seconds remaining. Gilbert missed wide on the free position shot which gave Campbell possession heading into overtime.

At the start of overtime Campbell earned a successful clear and moved the ball around before Duncan found Heath in an open lane in front of the net. Heath fired her shot into the back of the net to give the Camels the sudden-death victory.
