Camels top the Blue Hens 2-1 in game one

NEWARK, DE - The Camels (32-19-1, 20-5 CAA) topped the Blue Hens (38-10, 21-4 CAA) 2-1 in game one of the series. 

In the first inning Brooke Carey hit an RBI that brought in Alyssa Henault. In the fourth inning Sydney Shaffer hit an RBI double, giving the Blue Hens their first and only run of the game. Carey then hit another RBI in the sixth inning to put the Camels ahead.

Emily Winburn (21-5) was charged with the loss after pitching 7.0 innings and allowing three hits, no earned runs and two strikeouts. 

Isabella Smith (22-6) was credited with the win after pitching 7.0 innings, allowing one hit, one earned run and 7 strikeouts.

The Camels will play Delaware for game two of the series tomorrow, May 2nd, at 5:00 pm.
