Women's golf signs four standouts

Castillo, Bloomfield, Kudo and Rivas set to join Camels

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell University head women's golf coach John Crooks and associate head coach Val Patino have announced the signing of four outstanding student-athletes to athletics grants-in-aid.  Lohaijany Castillo will join the Fighting Camel program in January, while Louisa Bloomfield, Yukino Kudo and Miah Rivas will enroll in August 2026.
 
"Val and I are proud to introduce four outstanding student athletes who will join our women's golf team," said Crooks, who is in his 36th year at Campbell and 35th as head women's coach.  "Each player has proven to be one of the best players from different corners of the world. I believe our new additions will bring exciting competition within our team and for our team.  The athletic talent and the enthusiasm they bring to Buies Creek will help us continue to be one of the leaders in the Coastal Athletic Association.
 
Bloomfield, Castillo, Kudo and Rivas will join a program that has advanced to NCAA postseason competition 12 times in the last 13 years.
