BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell closed out its final dual of the calendar year on Sunday night, falling 45-3 to No. 8 South Dakota State.
The Jackrabbits jumped out to an early lead with three technical falls to open the dual, then added decisions at 157 and 174 pounds along with a forfeit at 165 to extend the margin.
Campbell's lone points came at 184 pounds, where
Brant Cracraft turned in a standout performance, winning with a takedown in sudden victory, 8-5.
South Dakota State closed the dual with falls at 197 and heavyweight, while a forfeit at 125 sealed the 45-3 final.
UP NEXT
Campbell will travel to Chattanooga, Tenn., to compete in the Southern Scuffle, hosted by SoCon foe University of Tennessee – Chattanooga at McKenzie Arena. The event begins Jan. 3, with finals scheduled for Jan. 4.
