BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell's Conor Maslanek earned All-America honors at the U23 Nationals event this past weekend in Geneva, Ohio.

"Conor has worked hard for this goal of his and he went out and earned it," Campbell Assistant Coach TJ Dudley said. "A tough thing to do with just a little over a month of training after an injury that put him out for 6 months. In that time, he's been relentless in the weight room and eager to get on the mat and scrap no matter how little he was told he could do."

Maslanek, a native of Pelham, New Hampshire, won his first four matches to earn a top eight finish in the freestyle division. His 5-0 victory over Carson Babcock was the clinching win.

"I'm extremely proud of the way he competed," said Dudley, "and I'm excited about the jumps we can make from here going into his senior year."

Also wrestling in the freestyle division were Eugene Harney and Brant Cracraft. Harney tied Kaden Keiser but lost on criteria, and Keiser went on to qualify for the World Team.

Incoming junior Cooper Shore competed in the U20 Greco-Roman World Team Trials, earning one victory against Dale Corbin.
