BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Fighting Camels fought back after an early deficit before ultimately falling to Gardner-Webb, 5-2, Monday afternoon at the James Nisbet Tennis Center.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs got out to a 3-0 lead after earning the doubles point and winning on courts three and five to open singles play.
 
Adi Dagan and Alex Fragasso followed with wins on courts one and two in three sets. Dagan bounced back to defeat Alexandre Bergeron, 0-6, 6-4, 6-4. Fragasso had a similar come from behind win, defeating Boyd Schreiber, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.
 
GWU clinched the match thanks to Johan Van Wijk's effort on court four. The day concluded on court six, with Gardner-Webb winning in a third-set tiebreaker.
 
Campbell returns to the courts on Wednesday the 28^th to take on North Carolina at the Chewning Tennis Center.
