GREENSBORO, N.C. –
Fanni Gronlund tied for third individually and Campbell moved up to third on the team leader board after Tuesday's final round of the UNCG Collegiate at Forest Oaks Country Club.
Yukino Kudo finished in a tie for sixth place for the Camels, who closed their fall schedule with four top-3 finishes in five events.
Gronlund (74-74-67—215) matched her collegiate best round with a 5-under 67 Tuesday on the par 72 Davis Love III design. After making bogey on her first hole of the day, the par-4 seventh, Gronlund had a clean scorecard thereafter with six birdies, including ones on her final two holes.
A junior from Finland, Gronlund produced her third top-five finish in five tournaments this fall after playing the par-5 holes (-4) and making nine birdies (T6th in the field).
Kudo (72-72-74—218) matched her collegiate best finish and produced her second top-10 effort of the fall after playing the par-5 layouts 5-under (T2nd).
Host UNCG (296-289-281—866) won team honors, followed by Augusta (300-285-288—873) and the Camels (302-298-288—888). In five outings this semester, Campbell claimed one title (Tot Hill Farm Invitational) and two runner-up finishes (Golfweek Fall Challenge, Brittany Kelly Classic) in addition to this week's third-place effort.

Jade Potter finished T16 (76-76-73—225) to claim her fourth top-20 in five events. She made six birdies and played the par-4 holes 1-over (T5).
Competing as an individual, freshman
Louisa Bloomfield posted her best finish (T23) and best round (73-77-78—228) as a collegiate golfer. Fellow freshmen
Lohaijany Castillo (79-77-74—230) and
Miah Rivas (80-77-74—231) finished T27 and T31, respectively.
Baker Hudson of UNCG (73-66-67—206) won individual honors by two strokes over Sara Adams of Augusta (72-67-69—208). Gronlund and Constanca Mendonca of Winthrop (73-68-74—215) were the only other golfers in the 48-player field to finish in red numbers.
As a team, the Camels led the field in par-5 scoring (-1) and with 176 pars.
Campbell will return to action on Feb. 8 for a dual match against Appalachian State at Keith Hills GC.

The Course – Forest Oaks Country Club (Par 72, 6028 yards): Forest Oaks Country Club first hosted a PGA TOUR event in 1962, the same year is opened. From 1977-2007, Forest Oaks was the site of the Greater Greensboro Open. The course underwent only minor alterations until 2002, when Davis Love III was hired to redesign it. The Ellis Maples design has been ranked among the top 50 courses in North Carolina. Maples also designed Campbell's home course, Keith Hills Country Club, which opened in 1974.
