BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell wrestling team dropped a SoCon road dual to the VMI Keydets, 32-16, on Friday night at Cormack Hall.

The dual began at 149 pounds, with VMI jumping out to an early advantage by winning the first four bouts. Campbell got on the board at 184 pounds as redshirt junior Brant Cracraft earned a 10-7 decision.

The Camels built momentum in the upper weights, as redshirt senior Conor Maslanek followed with a technical fall in 3:27 at 197 pounds. Redshirt freshman Sawyer VanRider added another win for Campbell at heavyweight, posting a 7-3 decision.

Graduate student Logan Heil secured Campbell's fourth victory of the night at 133 pounds, recording a technical fall in 5:56.

VMI built its margin early and held on for the 32-16 victory. Campbell moves to 2-19 overall and 1-6 in SoCon action.

UP NEXT

The Camels will head to Davidson, N.C. for their regular-season finale. Davidson and Campbell are set to square off Friday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m.
