BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell wrestling team closed out the regular season Friday night at Davidson with a narrow 26-17 loss.
Campbell picked up four individual wins in its dual against Davidson, led by a strong start in the middle weights.

Logan Heil opened the night for the Camels with a major decision at 133 pounds, setting the tone with a 12-0 shutout. Senior
Zander Phaturos followed at 141 with a 4-1 decision, giving Campbell back-to-back victories early in the match.
At 184 pounds, redshirt junior Brant Cracraft added another key win for the Camels, earning a 5-2 decision. Redshirt senior Conor Maslanek added another major decision for Campbell at 197 pounds. Campbell closed its night of victories at heavyweight, where Sawyer Van Rider secured a 2-1 decision.
The Camels went into the final matchup at 125 pounds with a chance to win but fell just short.

The Camels will prepare for the SoCon Championships in Asheville, N.C. Competition begins Friday, March 6.
