BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Head coach Val Patino has announced the 2026-27 Campbell University women's golf schedule.  The slate includes three events hosted by power conference schools, plus the team's annual trip to the Golfweek Fall Challenge and six new destinations for the Fighting Camels this season.
 
The season opens Sept. 6-8 with the Golfweek Fall Challenge at Pawley's Island, S.C.  Since 2012, the Camels have won seven team titles (2012, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2024) and finished runner-up twice (2014, 2016) on the Mike Strantz designed Caledonia Golf & Fish Club layout.
 
Campbell WILL make its first trip to the Brittany Kelly Classic, hosted by Ball State, Sept. 14-15.  Campbell will compete at The Players Club at Woodland Trails, which has been named by Golf Digest as the top public access course in the state of Indiana.  The event also marks a return to the Muncie, Ind., area for Patino, who served as graduate assistant coach at Ball State from 2022-24.
 
The Camels will play a second Mike Strantz design Sept. 28-29 in the Tot Hill Farm Invitational in Asheboro, N.C., hosted by CAA rival Charleston.  The layout was ranked as the seventh-best course you can play in North Carolina by Golfweek in 2026. 
 
For the third-straight season, Campbell will compete in the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Tennessee, at Cherokee CC in Knoxville, Tenn.  The 54-hole event will be held Oct. 4-6 on the par-71 Donald Ross design that plays to 5990 yards.
 
The fall season concludes Oct. 19-10 with the UNCG Collegiate, which will be held at Forest Oaks Country Club, a venue that first hosted a PGA TOUR event in 1962.  From 1977-2007, Forest Oaks was the site of the Greater Greensboro Open.  The Ellis Maples design has been ranked among the top 50 courses in North Carolina.  Maples also designed Campbell's host course, Keith Hills Country Club, which opened in 1974.
 
Campbell will start its spring campaign Feb. 26-28 with the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational, hosted by Mercer at Eatonton, Ga.  In addition to tournament host Mercer, the field will include power conference teams Michigan and Boston College as well as CU's CAA rival Elon.  The Great Waters course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and plays to par 72.
 
The Camels will make their initial journey to the Low Country Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford on Mar. 15-16 at the Golf Club at Indigo Run in Hilton Head, S.C.  CU and fellow CAA member William & Mary will compete on the Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II co-design against a field that features a number of Southern and Big South Conference teams.
 
CU will make the short trip north to Raleigh to compete in the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by NC State Mar. 21-22 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.  CU will play in the event for the third-consecutive year on the Arnold Palmer design.  The 2027 field includes Virginia, as well as NC State, plus in-state rivals East Carolina, Gardner-Webb, NC A&T and Western Carolina.
 
Campbell closes out the regular season Apr. 5-6 in the Hokie-Highlander Collegiate, co-hosted by Virginia Tech and Radford at the Pete Dye River Course.  Named the sixth-best collegiate course in the country by Golf Digest, the River Course also hosted the 2011 NCAA men's regional as well as the 2016 Virginia State Amateur Championship.
 
The CAA Championship will once again be held at the Reserve Club at the Clubs at St. James in Southport, N.C.  The 54-hole event is set for Apr. 16-18 on the Nicklaus design.  Since joining the league in 2023-24, the Camels have finished fourth, third and third in the event.  The CAA champion will receive the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Regionals, which will be held at six sites – Aiken, S.C., Dallas, Texas, Fort Wayne, Ind., Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Stanford, Calif., and Frankin, Tenn. – throughout the country.  The top five teams and top individual not on a qualifying squad will advance to the NCAA Championship, May 21-26 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
 
Four players return from Campbell's 2025-26 team that finished third in the CAA Championship, including all-conference performer Fanni Gronlund and senior Jade Potter, who earned all-championship team recognition after placing fourth in the CAA tourney.
