Biography

New to the Campbell coaching staff for the 2007 season is former Fighting Camel Alston Hatch. Hatch was hired in August and will be in charge of the outfielders and assist with the catchers along with tracking the team's academic progress.

Hatch's previous coaching experience includes a stint in summer 2006 with the Wilson Tobs of the Coastal Plain League under Jeff Steele.

The Fuquay-Varina, N.C. native appeared in 119 games for Campbell from 2003-2006. In his senior season, Hatch served as a team captain and was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team.

In his career, Hatch scored 44 runs, drove in 34 and blasted four home runs in helping the Fighting Camels to Atlantic Sun Tournament berths in 2004 and 2006.

Hatch played in the Coastal Plain League for the Wilmington Sharks along with Camel teammate Tim Holt and will graduate in December 2006 with a degree in Sport Management.
