Student-Athletes Strike a Blow against Hunger

Campbell Student-Athletes participated in a University wide “Food Fight” to raise awareness about food insecurity and contribute to the needs of the local community.

Student-Athletes contributed over 2000 pounds of food which will be delivered to food banks and shelters in Harnett, Johnston and Wake counties.

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee, (SAAC) organized and managed the program. Campbell Student-Athletes donated, helped transport, weigh, pack and distribute donations.

Campbell’s efforts will also be included in a Big South Conference initiative to raise awareness concerning food insecurity.
