Alex Carnall is in his second year at Campbell as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning. Carnall oversees programs for women's basketball, men's and women's soccer and swimming, while assisting with football.

In 2015-16, Carnell led strength and conditioning programs for both Camel soccer programs that reached new heights from its previous campaigns. The Campbell women made a run to the Big South championship match for the first time since 2011 and finished with a 14-7 overall record. On the men's side, the Camels saw a five-win improvement from 2014 and made its first appearance in the conference tournament semifinals since re-joining the Big South in 2011.

During the 2014-15 season, Carnall oversaw strength and conditioning for women's soccer that reached the Big South semifinals and the women's basketball team that posted a 13-2 record at home, its highest win total in Buies Creek since the 1987-88 season.

After serving as a volunteer assistant in the Campbell weight room during the 2013-14 year, Carnall volunteered his time during the summer of 2013 at the University of Montana. At Montana, he assisted with the implementation and coaching of strength and conditioning programs for football, men's and women's basketball, track and field, women's soccer and women's volleyball.

Prior to his summer at UM, Carnall was a strength and conditioning coach from August 2012 to May 2013 at Sport Specific Training Canada in his hometown of Oakville, Ontario. While there, he was responsible for the design, implementation and direction of training for youth and collegiate athletes.

A graduate and two-time Honor Roll Student-Athlete at the University of Texas - Pan American (B.S. Kinesiology - Strength & Conditioning 2012,) Alex played his junior and senior seasons for the Broncs baseball team. Following his playing career, he joined strength and conditioning coach Joe Collins in 2011 as a student assistant and worked with men's basketball, baseball, track and field, and had sole responsibility for women's tennis and golf.

He also previously earned an associate's degree while playing baseball at Cisco College from 2007-2009. With the Wranglers, Carnall was named an all-conference outfielder twice, was a Texas-New Mexico Region 5 All-Star selection and ranked top five nationally in several NJCAA Division 1 offensive categories. He remains on the leaderboard for several career offensive categories at Cisco.

Carnall is a member and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach through the National Strength & Conditioning Association, as well as CPR/AED Certified.
