Former Campbell Football standout Mike Stryffeler begins his third season as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning under program head Andrew Carter.

Stryffeler assists with the Camels' football program, while serving the volleyball, softball, track and field and wrestling teams in a primary capacity.

Before returning to Campbell in 2013, Stryffeler spent two seasons as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Montana. The 2010 Campbell graduate assisted the Grizzlies in nearly all facets of their strength and conditioning program, working directly with the UM men’s tennis team and serving as primary assistant with both football and men’s basketball programs.

A Sanford, N.C. native, Stryffeler assisted the Grizzlies while working toward his Master of Science in Health and Human Performance.

In the summer of 2011, Stryffeler also interned at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla., working primarily with football while assisting with the program’s men’s basketball and volleyball teams.

Stryffeler also gained experience at his alma mater in 2010 and 2011 as an intern, assisting with football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, softball and volleyball.

As a member of Campbell’s football team from 2008-10, Stryffeler was a two-time All-Pioneer Football League tight end in 2010 (First Team) and 2009 (Second Team), and two-time CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District 3 selection (2009-10). Stryffeler also earned First Team Academic All-PFL honors in 2009 and 2010.

In 2011, Stryffeler was named National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science and a minor in Business Administration from Campbell in 2010.

Stryffeler is certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Level 1 Sport Performance Coach Certified from USA Weightlifting and CPR/AED cleared by the American Heart Association.

He married former Campbell Volleyball standout, and current assistant coach, Ashley Weers in 2014.
