Enters spring with a 57-31 career singles record… Stands just four singles victories behind Jiri Beranek (2001-05) for 7th place on Campbell’s all-time wins list…

 

Fall 2005:  Led team with a 7-2 record in fall tournament play… Went 3-0 in singles at the UNC Fall Invitational without losing a set, including a 6-2, 6-4 win over North Carolina’s Sandeep Daiya… Was 3-1 at the Wolfpack Fall Invitational, including a super-tiebreak win over UNC’s Will Plyler… Went 1-1 in ITA Mideast Regional Indoor Championships…

 

2004-05:  Helped team to a 15th place ranking in the ITA Mideast Region… Finished the year 16-14 overall in singles play… Went 12-9 in doubles with partner Marc Sifre… Collected his 50th career singles victory over Norfolk State’s Stephen Charter, one of three Camels (along with Jiri Beranek and Florent Wilpotte to reach the 50-win milestone during the year)… Posted an 8-2 singles record in fall tournament play, going unbeaten at both the Hampton Roads Collegiate Invitational (B-Flight) and South Carolina Fall Invitational (A-B Flight)… Scored straight-sets victory over North Carolina’s Will Plyler in quarters at USC event… Advanced to second round of qualifying at ITA Mideast Regional Championships before losing in 3 sets to David Stone of North Carolina… Was 5-1 with partner Marc Sifre in doubles tournament action… Won 3-straight matches at South Carolina Fall Invitational (A-B Doubles)…

 

2003-04:  Finished the season with a 23-9 singles record (2nd on team in victories), including a 16-6 dual match mark… Key figure in CU’s 8-match win streak that led the team to its first-ever berth in the Atlantic Sun Championship final… Scored decisive team point in 4-2 victory over 3rd-seeded Florida Atlantic in A-Sun semis with 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over F.J. Schofield, to extend his singles win streak to 10 matches… Unbeaten in dual match doubles play (4-0) with Starkov (2-0) and Mills (2-0)… 8-3 overall doubles mark for the year with 3 partners… Went 7-3 in singles play during fall tournament action…

 

2002-03:  Joined the team for the 2003 spring semester and helped the Camel men record a 12-6 dual match mark… Earned a place on the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team… Also a member of the A-Sun All-Academic Team… Went 11-6 in singles, splitting time between numbers 4, 5 and 6… Also was 3-0 in doubles with two partners…

 

Personal: Attended Morningside Academy in Port St. Lucie, Fla… Was No. 2 of 12 nationally-ranked tennis players in Venezuela…Member of the State Team and National Team…Honorable Athletic Mention for Tennis in home state in 1999…All-Eagle award for academic achievement in high school…Born Feb. 2, 1985 in Maracay, Venezuela…Son of German and Nancy Campo…has two sisters, Maria Euguenia and Maria Alejandra… A sport management major…
