2019 Campbell University Softball Portraits

Danielle Stenger

Danielle Glosson was named the pitching coach for the Campbell squad in August of 2018.

Glosson comes to Campbell most recently from High Point University where she served as the Director of Development for Events. In her role for the Panthers, she headed up preparation and execution of Panther Club events – High Point’s athletic booster club.

Before Glosson’s one year stint at High Point, the Winston-Salem native served as an assistant coach and eventual associate head coach at Western Carolina. In her role with the Catamounts she oversaw multiple facets of the team but primarily worked with the pitching staff and outfielders.

At WCU she led the team to a notable win over Virginia Tech and coached the first Western Carolina freshman pitcher to surpass 100 strikeouts in a season. She also coached the Catamounts’ all-time leader in strikeouts (740) and coached one of her players to a perfect game – one of only three thrown in the country during the 2016 season.

Glosson also helped Catamount players to success in the classroom and led the 2016-17 team to a National Fastpitch College Association (NFCA) Division I All-Academic Team honor with a nation leading 3.673 team GPA.

Prior to her coaching career, Danielle played Division I softball at Southern Illinois University. During her four years, Glosson was named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) pitcher of the year in 2010 in route to a regular season championship. During her senior season, she was named a Lowe’s Senior Class Award Finalist. The award recognizes student-athletes in four different areas including community, classroom, character, and competition.
