2011 Track & Field: Earned Atlantic Sun All-Academic honors…Finished 20^th in the shot put at the Weems Baskin Invitational with a toss of 11.29 meters…Posted a mark of 35.55 meters in the discus at the Weems Baskin Invitational, finishing 31^st…Finished 10^th in the discus at the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships with a 31.13 meter mark…Placed ninth in the shot put at the A-Sun Indoor Championships with a mark of 12.51 meters…

Prep/Personal: A three-year football letterwinner at Ravenscroft Academy...honorable mention all-conference his junior and senior seasons... helped take team to a 10-3 record and a BEIC Championship during his final campaign... named team's Most Improved Player as sophomore...also member of the track and field team...was the conference's shot put champion in 2006 and 2007... named track's MVP those two years…Full name is Devin Spenser Combs... born 10/23/90 in Raleigh, N.C. ... son of William Combs and Deborah Jones-Combs... has one older brother, Logan... related to Earle Combs of the N.Y. Yankees and a Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, as well as Glen Combs, member of the ABA team Dallas Chaparrals... majoring in sports management and hopes to coach in the future.
