Prep/Personal: Attended Knightdale high school where he wrestled under Coach Kenny Watkins … Was the conference runner-up as a freshman at 145 weight class … As a sophomore, he was the conference runner-up for the second year only at 152 weight class and was the 2013 individual national champion (170) … During his junior year, he wrestled at 182 lbs and was the conference champion, regional runner-up and a state qualifier … He showed continued success into his senior year as he went 42-3 with 28 pins and was the conference champ for the second straight year, a regional runner-up and placed sixth at states … He was named the wrestler of the year and the most outstanding wrestler in his conference …  Finished his high school career with 132-33 record and 98 pins … Son of Michael and Michelle Skinner … Has two sisters, Sarah and Katie and two brothers, his twin Brandon, and Andrew … Intends to study biology and after college wants to join the Navy Seals or become a field biologist … Lettered in football and made the academic all-conference team … Also made the academic all-conference team for wrestling …
