Campbell University

Josh Heil serves as an assistant coach and the program’s recruiting coordinator as of June 2023. Prior to this role, he served as the program's Director of Operations in the 2022-23 season.

He was the first three-time SoCon champion in program history as a wrestler for Campbell. A former teammate of many current Camels, Heil has earned a great deal of respect from the team.  

“In terms of recruiting, Josh really loves Campbell,” Sentes said. “He spent the last six years here and met his wife here as a student. This school and this program really mean a lot to him so as he recruits, his passion for the program will really show.”  

Heil came to Campbell in 2016-17 as a student-athlete. When his college career came to a close in 2022, he had made a school-record five NCAA Championship appearances. He also notched three Southern Conference titles, an All-American honor in 2020, and over 100 career wins. 

Heil is from Brunswick, Ohio.
