2016-17 (Sophomore): Finished the season with a 3-9 overall record, including 0-1 in SoCon action… Picked up a pair of wins on Nov. 20: 7-3 over Justin Yorkdale (American) and 3-2 over Elijah Murphy (American)… Also picked up a SV-1 win over Patrick Duggan (Lock Haven, Jan. 7) 

2015-16 (Freshman):
Finished with a 5-6 record wrestling unattached at 141-pounds … Participated at The Citadel Open, Pembroke Classic and Wolfpack Open … Had four decisions and one major decision … 

Prep: Wrestled at Mallard Creek high school for Coach Benjamin Barry … Won the most improved award on the team his sophomore year … Recorded the most takedowns on the team as a junior as well as placing third at the Jim Hayes Invitational … During his senior year, Eley placed fourth at WRAL, was first in the conference at 138 lbs and took third place at the county championship … He was the fourth Maverick to reach 100 career wins (101) at Mallard Creek high school …

Personal: Son of Royce and Portia Eley … Intends to major in criminal justice / homeland security … Was on the A/B Honor Roll as a junior and senior …
