2016-17 (Sophomore):
Finished 11-16 overall, 7-9 in duals and 5-2 in SoCon action… Picked up a pair of fall victories on the season… He won by fall over Sawyer Root at 1:29 (The Citadel, Feb. 5) and a fall win over Sullivan Cauley at 5:32 (Airzona State, Jan. 13)… Wrapped up his 2017 SoCon Championships with a medical forfeit against Randall Diabe of Appalachian State (March 4)… 

2015-16 (Freshman):
Wrestled at both 184-pounds and 197-pounds for the Camels … Tallied a 6-7 overall mark going 0-1 in duals … Recorded three decisions as well as one major decision, pin (1:41) and win by forfeit … Claimed a 2^nd place finish at The Citadel Open after falling to Sawyer Root (The Citadel) 12-5 in the championship match … 

Prep: Wrestled at Eastern Guilford high school under Coach Jeff Wyrick … Was the conference runner-up as a freshman in the 182 weight class … Set a high school record for most wins in a season as a freshman with 26 … During his sophomore year, Bivens was the conference champion, the fourth-place finisher at regionals and a state qualifier … As a junior, he was the conference champion, regional runner-up, the state champion at 182 lb. and the male athlete of the year … Clinched the conference, regional and state champion title at 182 lbs. … Went 44-0 his senior year with 25 pins … Earned the accomplished athlete award and the all-area wrestler of the year honor … Set a new high school record for wins at 154 in his career (154-24) … Was the first state champion in 19 years for the Wildcats of Eastern Guilford high school …

Personal: Son of Willie Jr. and Avis Bivens … Older brother of Matthew Bivens (14) … His uncle played baseball and football at Guilford College … Intends to major in trust and wealth management … Played football his freshman and sophomore years and earned academic all-conference laurels his freshman year … Also played lacrosse as a freshman and earned academic all-conference honors …
