Lexi Deguzman

Alexis (Lexi) Deguzman, MSAT, LAT, ATC joined the Campbell University Sports Medicine staff in June of 2026 as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for football.

Prior to Campbell, Deguzman served as Assistant Athletic Trainer at Cumberland University (TN), where she provided primary medical coverage for football & men's wrestling. She oversaw injury evaluation and treatment, rehabilitation programming, and return-to-play protocols.

Deguzman earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education–Exercise Science from Old Dominion University, with minors in Human Services and Health & Wellness. She continued her studies at ODU and earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2024. During her graduate studies, she completed clinical rotations with NCAA Division I football programs at Old Dominion and William & Mary. Her graduate research focused on factors influencing coaches' use of injury prevention programs.

Deguzman is a Board of Certification (BOC) certified athletic trainer since 2024 and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) since 2022.
