8-of-11 shots, including 2-of-3 treys and pulled down six
rebounds.
UNCP hit six three-point shots in 16 attempts in the first
half to stay within five at the break. However, the Braves made
just 1-of-13 from long distance in the second period.

percent (12-22) from 3-point range and 76.5 percent (13-17) from
the line. Campbell made 11-of-14 free throws (.786) in the second
period, including its last 10 attempts on the night.
UNCP shot 42.5 percent (34-80) for the game, but just 24.1
percent (7-29) from 3-point range. The Braves made just 2-of-4
from the foul stripe.

Lee Marsh Signs With Campbell
BUIES CREEK, N.C. Harnett Central High School standout
Lee Marsh has signed an athletics grant-in-aid with Campbell
University, head mens basketball coach Billy Lee announced on
Tuesday.
Marsh is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard and four-year starter
for Coach Will Gages Trojans. A resident of nearby
Lillington, Marsh is the second prep standout to sign with the
Fighting Camels during the early recruitment period, joining
forward Robby Dupre of Sanford, Fla.
Lee is a very athletic wing player who can also shoot
the basketball, said Fighting Camel head coach Billy Lee.
He has scored a lot of points at Harnett Central and will
have a bright future at Campbell. Hes just a fine young man
in every way and is a good student.
Marsh averaged better than 16 points per game both as a
sophomore and junior at Harnett Central. During his junior year,
he contributed 16.2 points per game and hit 53 three-point field
goals. During his sophomore campaign, Marsh averaged 16.5 points
and canned 70 triples. As a freshman starter in 1998-99, he made
39 treys and scored at a 6.8 points per game clip.
Last season, he was a first-team all-conference choice and an
all-area selection by the Dunn Daily Record and the Sanford
Herald. He was also an all-tournament selection at the 2000 Dunn
Daily Record Tip-Off Tournament. During his sophomore campaign,
Marsh was an all-area choice by the Daily Record and an honorable
mention all-conference pick.
Marsh will join former Harnett Central standout Brooks Lee on
the Fighting Camel squad and is the fifth local product to sign
with Campbell in the past four years, joining Adam Fellers
(Fayetteville), Jonte Edwards (Clinton), Brooks Lee (Buies
Creek) and Tarick Johnson (Fayetteville).
"Coach Will Gage has turned out a number of good players at
Harnett Central High School and we're pleased to have two of his
better ones in our program," said Coach Lee. "We're adding to the
stable of local kids that we've been able to bring in and I hope
more local kids will take a good, hard look at the University in
their backyard.

With Camels
BUIES CREEK,
N.C. Robby Dupre has signed an athletics grant-in-aid with
Campbell University, head mens basketball coach Billy Lee
announced on Monday.
Dupre, a 6-foot-6, 210-pound forward from Sanford, Fla., will
join the Fighting Camels next fall from Seminole (Fla.) High
School.
A four-year varsity starter, Dupre averaged 16.0 points and
8.5 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the floor and 73
percent from the foul line during his junior year. He was a
first-team All-Seminole (5-A) Conference and first-team
All-Seminole County selection and also gained All-Central Florida
honors.
Dupre was presented the Keith Moon Sportsmanship Award last
summer at the prestigious Five-Star Basketball Camp in Pittsburgh.
Past winners of the award include current NBA stars Alonzo Mourning
and Grant Hill.
He is coached at Seminole by Bob Traina, the father of Brad
Traina, who was an all-conference performer at fellow Atlantic Sun
Conference member UCF during the 90s.
Robby is a big, strong kid who can really shoot the

We really like Robby and his family. Hes a good fit
for Campbell. Hes a hard-worker, a fine Christian young man,
and is a big kid who can step outside and hit a shot.
