Camels claim team title in Bahamas

Emily Hawkins finishes 2nd, Anna Nordfors 4th

PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS – The Fighting Camels earned their second win of the season behind a season-low 277 final round at the White Sands Bahamas Invitational. Emily Hawkins finished second among individuals after firing a career-best 65 on Sunday.
 
Hawkins (70-72-65-207) finished the day with five birdies and an eagle on the short par-four 17th for the second day in a row to card her 65, tied for her career best. The score is the low individual round for all Camels this season, and just one shot off the program record.
 
Anna Nordfors (68-72-72-212) shot even on the day to finish fourth.
 
Campbell (284-293-277-854) finished four strokes clear of Nebraska (285-280-293-858) in second place. No. 34 Miami (294-293-275) posted the low team-round of the day to round out the top three.
 
Campbell's Tomita Arejola (72-76-69-217) climbed eight spots up the leaderboard today with a final-round 69 to finish T10. Patricia Garre Munoz (75-73-78-226) finished 29th and Sanna Lundmark (78-83-71-228) was just behind at 30th.
 
The Camels led the field in par-3 scoring at +4 and total eagles with three during the weekend. Hawkins led the field in par-4 scoring (-3) and finished T3 in birdies (12).
