Camels Defeat Coastal Carolina 5-2
CONWAY, S.C. -- Jiri Beranek remained unbeaten for the spring
season and Campbell defeated Coastal Carolina 5-2 Friday.
The Camels improved to 4-5 on the year, winning for the fourth
time in the last five matches.
Beranek
ran his dual match record to 6-0 for the spring by defeating
Coastal's David Mellis 6-0, 6-0 at number-one singles. Florent
Wilpotte also won in straight sets for the Camels at the second
spot in the lineup.
Freshman
Marc Sifre secured the dual match victory with a three-set triumph
at number five, while Artoym Starkov improved to 3-2 at number-six
by winning a third set super tiebreaker.
Campbell earned the doubles point by sweeping all three
matches. The Camels host High Point Tuesday at 1:00 p.m.
