Defeats Belmont 5-2 to Improve to 3-1 In
Atlantic Sun Men's Tennis Play
BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Jiri Beranek and Florent Wilpotte combined
for their 11th-straight doubles victory and Campbell went on to a
5-2 Atlantic Sun Conference men's tennis victory over Belmont
Saturday at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
Beranek
also moved to 12-1 in singles play at number-one with a
straight-sets win over Alex Gillott, while Wilpotte won his
ninth-consecutive match at number-two without dropping a set to
Javier Rodriguez.
Freshman
Marc Sifre secured the dual victory for the Camels with a 6-1, 7-5
triumph over Fausto Rocha at number-five singles.
Campbell
(7-9, 3-1 A-Sun) returns to action on Wednesday in a 2:00 p.m.
start vs. Lafayette at the Cary (N.C.) Tennis Center.
