drive of the game with Morelli again doing the major damage on his
15-yard touchdown jaunt. The made extra point from James Cullen gave USD a
13-0 lead with 3:36 to go in the first quarter.

in sides of the field for the second quarter couldn't slow Morelli
and the San Diego offense as they started the second quarter on a
10-play 43-yard drive. Morelli scored his third touchdown of the
game to give San Diego a 20-0 lead after the made Cullen extra
point with 11:34 to go in the second quarter.

back on Donte'
Washington's first interception.

to give the Toreros a 27-7 advantage.
On their
first drive of the second half, San Diego marched down to the
Campbell goal line before Washington picked off his second pass of
the game to thwart the USD effort. The stop was momentarily as USD
recovered a missed snap at the CU 11-yard line and promptly turned
it into gold on a 2-yard run from Nick Coppedge to take a
34-7 lead after the made extra point from Cullen.
The
Campbell defense began to get its bearings and didn't allow another
score until early in the fourth quarter on a John Matthews touchdown
catch from Trujillo at the 13:18 mark. The final score of the

Coach Steele Quote:
"Last week I think we all were experience something for the first
time. I won't speak for the players but I know they were a little
intimated in what they were facing. This week the team came out and
went toe-to-toe with the best football team in this conference and
didn't blink an eye. The team gave us a tremendous effort and did a
lot of things we asked them to do. The outcome of the football game
was obviously not what we would of have liked, but we accomplished
many positive things today. We fought for four quarters against a
really good football team. We are going to keep putting a brick on
the pile every week and eventually it is going to tilt in our
favor."
