BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell moved to 3-0 in CU Invitational play, defeating Delaware 9-2 and Manhattan 7-4 Saturday at Jim Perry Stadium.

Campbell (6-1) totaled 22 hits in its two games Saturday, posting 10 against Delaware (1-4), followed by another 12 to top Manhattan (1-2). Manhattan also defeated Delaware 7-2 in Saturday's opener.

The trio of Danny Pardo, Matt Nadolski and Brooks Borders paced the Camels against the Blue Hens with two hits apiece. Pardo and Borders each scored twice, while Nadolski drove in a run in the Campbell win.

The Camels broke open a scoreless game in the bottom of the third, registering four hits, including Sam Rector's leadoff double, and capitalizing on three Blue Hen errors, scoring six runs while sending 10 men to the plate.

Senior Hector Cedano moved to 2-0 with the win, pitching six frames with four hits, two strikeouts and a walk. Landon Tilley tossed the final inning, allowing one hit, while Travis Long bridged the gap, allowing two runs on three hits.

UD's Dan Gatto (1-1) took the loss, allowing seven runs, two earned, on seven hits with three strikeouts and a walk in 6 2/3 innings pitched. Taylor Mahoney also allowed a pair of runs, one earned, on a hit with three walks in 1 1/3.

In the nightcap, Campbell held a 2-1 edge before breaking through for a five-run fifth, sparked by Pardo's second triple of the game. The Camels scored each of their fifth inning runs with two outs, and posted consecutive base hits from Kyle Leady, Elijah Trail and Will Albertson.

Andrew Witczak (1-0) earned his first collegiate win, pitching 5 1/3 with three runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Ryan Koopman, a senior from Tipp City, Ohio, recorded his first save of the season, finishing out the game's final 3 2/3 with a run, three strikeouts and a walk.
