BUIES CREEK – Campbell left-handed pitcher Jake Murray has signed a professional contract with the Minnesota Twins organization. 

The left-hander was named All-CAA Honorable Mention and tabbed CAA Pitcher of the Week twice in his final season with the Camels. He led the squad with 15 starts and fanned a team-high 82, which tied for third in the CAA. 

Murray held a 4-2 record with a 4.68 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in his final campaign. He tossed 59.2 innings allowing 31 earned runs and held opponents to a .220 average. Murray struck out a career high 14 and did not allow a hit in 6.0 innings against Texas State this season. At the end of the regular season, he was 12^th in the NCAA in strikeouts per nine innings at 12.64. 

Murray finished his Campbell career with a 4.60 ERA in 38 appearances, making 19 starts. He pitched a total of 101.2 innings holding opponents to a .212 batting average.
