WILMINGTON, N.C. – Seven Camels drove in runs, including four from Cedric Mullins, and No. 27 Campbell defeated UNC Wilmington on the road Wednesday night at Brooks Field.

Campbell (18-3), who saw its 14 game winning streak snapped on Tuesday, bounced back to top the Seahawks (12-6) and move to 2-0 on the road in 2015.

The Camels' 13 runs marked a season-high. Campbell picked up double figure hits for the 13th time this season.

In a 3-3 ballgame, Campbell scored three in the top of the third to take a 6-3 lead, including a two-run double from Anthony Lopez. CU added a run in the fourth on Kyle Leady's solo home run to center, and three when Mullins tripled, clearing the bases in the fifth.

Mullins drove in another with a RBI groundout in a two-run CU seventh.

CU scored three in the first inning on RBI doubles from Steven Leonard and Cole Hallum. Leonard's drive in the left-center gap drove home Kyle Leady, who reached on a one out single. With Camels on the corners and two away, Hallum sent a 0-2 pitch to the wall in center, scoring two.

Luke Dunlap's two out solo home run put the Seahawks on the board in the first. UNCW tied it up in the second on Robbie Thorburn's two-run single.

Andrew Witczak (1-0) earned the win in relief for Campbell, entering in the bottom of the third and pitching 3 1/3, allowing a pair of runs on three hits with a strikeout and a walk. CU starter Coley Thompkins went two innings with three runs on four hits.

Hallum finished out the game on the mound for the Camels, striking out one in 1 2/3.

Cory Gantz (1-3) started on the mound for UNCW, allowing three runs on five hits with a strikeout. The Seahawks used eight pitchers in the contest.

Leady went 3-for-5 for the Camels with three runs and a RBI on his first home run as a Camel. Steven Leonard, Seth LaRue and Cole Hallum also picked up multiple hits, while Cedric Mullins extended his hitting streak to 14 games.

Casey Golden went 2-for-4 for UNCW, knocking in one and scoring two runs.

UNCW makes the return trip to Buies Creek on April 29.

Campbell continues Big South play at High Point this weekend, taking on the Panthers March 20-22.
