CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Korey Dunbar homered and knocked in three to lead No. 18 North Carolina past visiting Campbell 8-3 Tuesday at Boshamer Stadium.

Dunbar's two-run double in the fifth kick-started a four-run inning for UNC (25-15), who trailed Campbell (25-16) 3-2 heading to the home half of the stanza. Dunbar added a solo home run in the sixth.

Campbell used three infield hits to scratch a run in the top of the first, with Cedric Mullins coming home on Kyle Leady's single to short.

The Tar Heels answered with a two-run bottom of the first, sending eight to the plate with just one hit, walking four times, all with two outs. Campbell starter Heath Bowers (6-4) settled in, retiring eight in a row from the end of first to the fourth.

During that stretch, Campbell tied it up in the third on a double steal, with Steven Leonard scoring as Mullins took second, one of two steals on the day for Mullins. Mullins also scored twice and went 2-for-4 in the loss.

The Camels took a 3-2 lead in the fifth on Cole Hallum's RBI double down the leftfield line, chasing North Carolina starter Benton Moss before UNC reeled off four in the bottom of the frame.

Bowers took the loss for CU, allowing four runs on five hits in four innings, striking out six and walking five. Bobby Thorson worked three innings, allowing a run on two hits with three strikeouts and two walks.

Trevor Kelley (4-1) picked up the win, working 4 1/3 scoreless with three hits and a strikeout. Moss was tagged with three runs, two earned, on eight hits with two strikeouts and a walk in 4 2/3.

Tyler Ramirez was 3-for-5 for UNC, scoring three times and driving in one on a solo homer in the eighth. Skye Bolt was also 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Steven Leonard and Sam Rector both went 2-for-4 for CU. Eight Camels picked up hits on the night.

Campbell returns to Jim Perry Stadium tomorrow, hosting Elon at 6 p.m. The Camels will have the weekend off for exams, getting back on the field on Wednesday, April 29, hosting UNC Wilmington. The Camels return to Big South play May 1 at Gardner-Webb.
