BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- The Campbell men's and women's soccer teams will open their 2016 campaigns with a new addition to their home field at the Eakes Athletic Complex. Construction recently concluded on a new permanent pressbox and bench area situated right at midfield.

The brick facade houses permanent benches for each team as well as a multiuse storage closet. The new pressbox features two rows of seating for game operations, statistics, music, media and broadcasting. The upper level boasts the best view of the Eakes Complex ever seen in the facilities' 30-years of operation. Housed on that level is a video platform used for television and internet broadcasting as well as team video use.

Also new this season to the Eakes Complex is a brand new sound system and Musco lighting system. The press box and benches are the biggest addition added to the complex since the completion of the McLeod Athletic Training Facility during the summer of 2004 in the east end zone. Both soccer locker rooms were recently updated inside the facility as well as office space for the coaches and a new conference room available for meetings and film sessions for use by both teams.

The Eakes Athletic Complex, located on the north border of the Buies Creek campus, houses the soccer stadium as well as Campbell Softball's Amanda Littljohn Stadium and Campbell Tennis' James Nisbett Tennis Center.
