The Camels reached the endzone on just three plays in their opening drive, and Chowan followed with a 72 yard strike on a wide receiver pass on its first play from scrimmage.

Blockmon's second TD catch of the day, a 45 yard score, plus a 13 yard De'Shawn Jones run and a 33 yard Mitchell Brown field goal gave Campbell the early advantage. Blockmon added another touchdown catch before the half to give the Camels a 31-7 lead.

Jared Joyner broke away for a 64 yard TD at the 11:35 mark in the third before Chowan answered with Edwin Thomas' touchdown catch to make it 37-14 Camels.

Blockmon's fourth touchdown grab came with 7:20 to go in the third, spinning off a Chowan defender and racing away to the endzone for 68 yards. Brown tacked on his second field goal of the night, a 44 yarder, to open the fourth.

The Camels return to Barker-Lane Stadium next Saturday, September 17, for a 6 p.m. matchup with Presbyterian.
