Men's soccer falls at PC on Saturday

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian scored four second half goals en route to a 5-0 win over Campbell on Saturday afternoon at Edens Field at Martin Stadium.  
 
Steven Huppe, Jakob Luedtke, Andrew Miller-Bell, and Nemanj Zivanovic were the goal scorers for the Blue Hose.
 
Campbell falls to 8-6-2 overall and 4-2-0 in league play. Presbyterian improves to 5-6-2 overall and 3-2-1 in Big South action.
 
The Camels remain at the top of the Big South standings with 12 points, along with Liberty and High Point. CU has taken victories against both schools on the season. Radford moved into first place with 13 points in the league standings. 
 
Campbell has two league games remaining, while Liberty and High Point have three left to play, including an Oct. 25 matchup between the two schools.
 
Presbyterian out shot Campbell 13-10, including 10-3 on target. CU held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.  
 
Presbyterian opened the scoring in the 32nd minute of play off a corner kick. Adrian Martin curled in the kick and Miller-Bell was on the receiving end and finished his header inside the near post.
 
Bastien Oberli had the best chance of the first half for Campbell, as his shot from just outside the box went just over the bar.
 
The Blue Hose doubled their lead just 1:51 into the second half, as Zivanovic eluded the Campbell defense and put away his left-footed shot from the top of the box.
 
Seven minutes later, Luedtke buried a free kick from 20 yards away to put the home side ahead 3-0.
 
Huppe connected on a pair of goals in the 69th and 71st minute to give Presbyterian a 5-0 lead.
 
Matthew Mozynski finished with five saves, while his counterpart, Connor Behrend, tallied three.
 
Ian Rees led the Camels with a match-high three shots, while teammates JJ Donnelly and Carel Kayembe collected two shots apiece.
 
Campbell returns home on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. against Gardner-Webb for the regular season home finale.
