Allena Heath records her fourth 20-kill performance to lead CU to the Big South win

CLINTON, S.C. --- Allena Heath recorded her fourth 20-kill performance of the season to lead Campbell to a 3-1 (25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 25-19) victory over Presbyterian in Big South Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon.

Heath put down a match-high 27 kills for the Camels (16-8, 6-4 BSC), who won their sixth-straight match and moved to two games over .500 in the league. Heath's tally was just two off her career high and the most in a four-set match.

Jessica Stocking tallied a double-double with a career-high 19 kills and 14 digs. Summer Schuitema also recorded a double-double with a match-high 48 assists and 21 digs. Kayla Schanback tallied 12 digs.

Presbyterian (5-19, 2-8) avoided the sweep with the four-point third set victory. A quick 3-0 spurt in the fourth set put the Camels ahead 7-5 before a Schanback ace made it 10-7.

An ace from Erin Eulitz capped a 4-0 Blue Hose run that tied the set at 12-12. Stocking put down a kill to give the Camels a 16-14 advantage and start a 4-1 Camel run to push the margin to 19-15.

A Madison Linxwiler kill and a PC error put Campbell ahead 22-17. Caroline Henderson made it 23-19 with a kill, but Stocking closed out the match with back-to-back kills to seal the Camel victory.

Linxwiler tallied eight kills and five blocks. Hannah Schneggenburger matched her block tally and finished with seven kills.

Henderson and Eulitz each recorded 14 kills to lead Presbyterian while Eulitz dug-up 14 balls for a double-double. Taylor Farmer tallied a match-high 25 digs while Sierra Jones dished out 18 assists.

The Camels reeled off seven-straight points to take an 8-3 lead in the first set. A 3-0 spurt made it an 11-4 advantage before an ace from Heath made it a 19-13 lead in favor of the Camels late in the frame.

The Blue Hose scored seven of the next nine points to draw within 22-20 of Campbell. Schneggenburger tallied a kill out of the break and back-to-back kills from Heath closed out the frame for the Camels.

CU raced out to a commanding 11-0 lead to start the second set all off the serve of Schuitema, who put down three aces in the run. Schuitema made it 17-9 with a kill later in the set.

The Camels scored three-straight to take their advantage back to double-digits at 20-10. Heath gave CU set point at 24-15 with a kill before Linxwiler closed out the Camel set win with a final kill.
